  • Essential Oil Blend Info and Uses

Calm Dog Essential Oil Blend is a special combination of essential oils proven to demonstrate anti-anxiety action in animals. Lavender essential oil has been shown to alleviate anxiety responses associated with stressful events in dogs, such as car rides, veterinary visits or new situations. Here, it has been combined with other essential oils shown to alleviate anxiety and stress in animals, for a broader impact than the Lavender essential oil alone. All the ingredients have been carefully researched by me and thoughtfully blended for optimal balance for your furry friend. They have then been graciously tested and puppy-approved by Emerald (featured AiliA Puppy model). Rest assured she is a willing participant and well compensated for her efforts through her own personal monthly Bark Box, her very favorite organic, non-GMO clean diet frozen raw food, and lots of salad (kale and microgreens are her favorite!). She also demands plenty of lap time, which I happily accomodate while I update the AiliA website.

Calm Dog is a Lavender based therapeutic calming aroma with hints of citrus and a little sweetness. This is a full strength, undiluted therapeutic grade essential oil blend including essential oils of lavender, bergamot, sweet orange, roman chamomile, and geranium. Nothing else. One 5ml bottle supplies about 80 applications.

    1) For use with AiliA CTFO Doggie Collar Charms: Remove collar from your pet's neck. Apply one drop of Caml Dog essential oil blend directly to the lava rock and rub in. Replace collar on your pet's neck. The therapeutic aroma from the essential oils wil passively diffuse into the air around your pet. Reapply essential oil to lava rick every 4-5 hours, or as needed.

    2) For use in ultrasonic aromatherapy room diffusers: apply Calm Dog to essential oil ultrasonic diffuser according to manufactuter's instructions.

*Full strength essential oils should never be applied directly to your pet's skin.

  • Disclaimers and Common Sense Assistance

    1) Although I am a veterinarian, I do not have a doctor-patient relationship with your beloved pet, and can therefore not make medical recommendations for your personal pet. The essential oil blends here are not a substitute for veterinary care and/or appropriate training and behavior modification approaches.

    2) The therapeutic grade essential oils used in these blends have been used safely in dogs in indirect application such as aromatherapy through use with ultrasonic diffusers, passive diffusion from external objects, and in very dilute amounts (50:1 dilutions with carrier oils) in other applications. Every pet is unique and there is always the potential for adverse effects with exposure to any new product. Test your pet's tolerance to the essential oil blend by applying a very small amount (partial drop) to the CTFO collor and determine whether your pet enjoys and tolerates the aroma before using a full drop. If any adverse effect, such as excessive sneezing, aggitation or excessive licking occurs, remove the CTFO charm from your pet's collar and allow the applied essential oil aroma to dissipate. Then, you may dilute one drop of the full strength essential oil blend with 50 drops of water and then apply 1 drop of the diluted mixture to the CTFO collar to see if this more diluted blend is better tolerated. If adverse effect is still seen, discontinue use.

    3) Pure full potency essential oils should never be ingested, unless under the direct supervision and recommendation of a licensed veterinarian experienced with use of therapeutic essential oils in dogs and cats.

    4) Pure full potency essential oils should never be applied directly to your pet, unless under the direct supervision and recommendation of a licensed veterinarian experienced with use of therapeutic essential oils in dogs and cats.

    5) This product is not recommended for pets with a history of ingesting foreign objects. Your pet should be supervised at all times while wearing the CTFO collar charm to ensure they do not ingest it.
