Dr. Erin Bannink has spent more than two decades sitting in exam rooms with pet parents on some of the hardest days of their lives. As a board-certified veterinary oncologist, she has guided families through the uncertainties and fears that accompany a cancer diagnosis – helping them navigate complex medical decisions while acknowledging the deep emotional bond and love they share with their animals.
Over time, she noticed something that medicine alone could not fully explain.
Some patients and their people seemed to find a different kind of peace and surprising levels of healing. Others struggled not just with the diagnosis, but with the weight of fear, overwhelm, and disconnection. It became clear there was an aspect to healing that was not just physical. It was emotional. It was spiritual. It was relational.
This realization set Dr. Bannink on a path of exploration beyond conventional medicine. Already grounded in science through her training at Hope College and Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, she expanded her approach to include acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, eventually earning advanced certification and a Graduate Diploma in Veterinary Chinese Herbal Medicine through the College of Integrative Veterinary Therapies. Today, she practices Integrative Oncology at Oakland Veterinary Referral Services in Michigan, blending modern cancer therapies with time-honored healing traditions and lecturing internationally on this integrative approach.
Driven by a desire to understand the deeper forces shaping human and animal experience, she also immersed herself in spiritual study. From early roots in the Christian tradition and Native American shamanic teachings, to years of study in Tibetan Mahayana Buddhism, yogic philosophy, and meditation, she followed a path many seekers know well—gathering wisdom, yet still sensing that something essential was missing.
That search ultimately led her to the Western Mystery School tradition—an ancient lineage of spiritual training designed not just to inspire, but to transform and uplift humanity. Today, Dr. Bannink is a Spiritual Guide, Healer and Metaphysical Teacher, in the Hermetic lineage of King Salomon, trained and certified through the Modern Mystery School International. Through this initiatory path, she works with time-tested spiritual technologies passed down for over 3,000 years—tools that activate dormant aspects of the human blueprint and support true self-mastery, clarity, and alignment with one’s life purpose.
What makes her work unique is her ability to anchor this ancient wisdom into modern life and bridge two worlds that are often kept separate: science and spirit. As an accomplished veterinary specialist, she understands the rigor of evidence-based medicine, the demands of high-performance careers, and the emotional toll of caring deeply in the face of uncertainty. As a spiritual guide, she understands that lasting transformation requires more than knowledge—it requires integration, embodiment, and connection to something greater.
Her journey through a high-achieving medical career revealed a reality she now shares openly: external success alone does not create fulfillment. Without alignment, even the most accomplished lives can feel disconnected, heavy, or incomplete. True healing—and true purpose—emerge when we begin to bring all parts of ourselves into coherence.
This understanding was shaped not only by her personal path, but by years of witnessing the quiet emotional and spiritual challenges faced by others—pet parents carrying the weight of difficult decisions, veterinary colleagues facing burnout and emotional exhaustion, and high-performing individuals searching for meaning beyond worldly achievement. Through these experiences, Dr. Bannink came to see that healing and fulfillment is not something we acquire from the outside. It is something we cultivate from within.
She is the founder of Divine PowerHouse Center for Healing and Enlightenment, where she offers healing sessions, initiation, classes, and workshops designed to support individuals on a path of deep, lasting transformation. Her work is especially resonant for those who feel called to something greater—high-performing individuals and emerging leaders who are ready to move beyond surface-level growth into a life of true inner mastery characterized by clarity, higher purpose, and meaningful service.
Her life’s work is guided by the understanding that even in our most challenging moments there exists an innate capacity for growth when we learn to honor the interconnected nature of body, soul, and spirit – and that within each individual lies the capacity to become a conscious creator of their life and positively impact the world.
